Many people would think that making games costs a lot and needs large investments. They may think that the tools needed are expensive and unaffordable for them.
If you think the same, then I’ve got some good news! Games actually don’t cost you a lot. If you are willing to develop your own game, alone, then you can make it without a single dime! Today I will share with you 5 free tools to create your game.
Components of Games

Graphics: The visuals that we see. The levels, player, enemies and all the beautiful sceneries. As well as their movements.
Audio: I don’t need to explain this I guess, it is all that you hear in the game. Conversations, sound fx and so on.
Scripts: This is hidden magic where it makes the player takes control and interact with the game. Controlling the player, enemy AI, and other interactivities.
Game Engine: Here where all the previous components get squeezed and combined to become the final product, the game.

If you would like more Unity tutorials, you can check out my YouTube channel where I create Unity tutorials for all different levels.
Recently, I started a new tutorials series called “Inspired by Games” where we pick a feature from our favorite games and then learn how to imitate it.
In the first episode we imitated the Axe of Kratos from God of War, and the second episode, we did the Dead Eye System form Red Dead Redemption 2.
