If you are willing to develop your own game, alone, then you can make it without a single dime! The levels, player, enemies and all the beautiful sceneries. As well as their movements.<br>Audio: I don&#8217;t need to explain this I guess, it is all that you hear in the game. Conversations, sound fx and so on.<br>Scripts: This is hidden magic where it makes the player takes control and interact with the game. Controlling the player, enemy AI, and other interactivities.<br>Game Engine: Here where all the previous components get squeezed and combined to become the final product, the game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tools<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the five tools to create your game for free:<br>1.  <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gimp.org\/downloads\/\">GIMP<\/a><\/em> is a free software that is used to design your 2D graphics. Whether you&#8217;re drawing textures, characters or editing images. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gimp.org\/downloads\/\">Get it here<\/a>)<br>2. After drawing your 2D character, you can use <em><a href=\"https:\/\/brashmonkey.com\/download_spriter\/\">Spriter<\/a><\/em> to animate your graphics using bones system. (<a href=\"https:\/\/brashmonkey.com\/download_spriter\/\">Get it here<\/a>)<br>3. If your game is 3D, then you can use <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.blender.org\/download\/\">Blender<\/a><\/em> which is a free and famous 3D software. Recently is started supporting 2D as well! (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.blender.org\/download\/\">Get it here<\/a>)<br>4. To record and edit your audio, <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacityteam.org\/download\/\">Audacity<\/a><\/em> would be the perfect tool for you. (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.audacityteam.org\/download\/\">Get it here<\/a>)<br>5. To combine all of the above to make it a final product, a game, you&#8217;ll need a game engine. I&#8217;d suggest <em><g class=\"gr_ gr_1925 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar only-ins doubleReplace replaceWithoutSep\" id=\"1925\" data-gr-id=\"1925\"><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/store.unity.com\/products\/unity-personal\">Unity<\/a><\/g><\/em> game engine. If you&#8217;re using it, and you&#8217;re developing a 2D game, then you don&#8217;t really need <em><a href=\"https:\/\/brashmonkey.com\/download_spriter\/\">Spriter<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>because <em><a href=\"https:\/\/store.unity.com\/products\/unity-personal\">Unity<\/a><\/em> now supports <a href=\"https:\/\/unity3d.com\/learn\/tutorials\/topics\/animation\/animation-2d-bones-and-ik\">2D bone system<\/a>.
